PLAYBACK Named Game Changer Finalist at the SeedLegals Startup Awards 2026
PLAYBACK has been named a finalist in the Game Changer category at the SeedLegals Startup Awards 2026. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 15 October 2026 at Shoreditch Town Hall, London.
The five finalists are Twinnin, SIYTE, Finmile, Ctrl Alt and PLAYBACK. Winners are chosen by a panel of founders and investors, who will also select one company from across every category's finalists as Startup of the Year, with a £50,000 investment attached.
PLAYBACK brings the technology used by professional clubs to grassroots and academy sport. Partner clubs receive AI cameras, auto-follow video, highlights and analysis at zero upfront cost, and players and families get access to every match they play. Since launch, the platform has served 75,000+ players across 25+ partner clubs and academies in 14 countries, delivered an estimated £750,000+ in savings to those partners, recorded 1,300+ matches, and supported 20+ players into professional contracts. All of it self-funded.
The shortlist follows a strong September for the company. PLAYBACK won Best Growth Strategy, sponsored by Deloitte, at the World Football Summit Awards 2026 in Madrid, and was named Rising Star at the UK StartUp Awards national final.
