PLAYBACK Wins The Draft at SPORT[GEN] Summit 2026 in Paris
Sports technology startup PLAYBACK takes top prize at one of Europe's leading sports-tech competitions, selected by a jury including AWS, SportsTechX, and PSG Lab.
Paris, 28 May 2026 - PLAYBACK, the sports technology company building the operating system for sport, has been named the Winner of The Draft at SPORT[GEN] Summit 2026 in Paris.
The Draft brought together 10 of the most promising sports-tech startups to pitch in front of a jury of leading investors and industry partners, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), SportsTechX, and PSG Lab. PLAYBACK was selected as the overall winner.
PLAYBACK exists to solve a problem affecting the vast majority of sports organisations worldwide: the tools used by elite clubs - AI cameras, performance analytics, player tracking, and integrated operations - remain financially and operationally out of reach for 99% of academies, leagues, and grassroots organisations. PLAYBACK acts as the integration layer that brings these technologies together and deploys them to partners at zero capital cost.
In just 17 months, PLAYBACK has grown to power more than 75,000 players across 25+ clubs in over 10 countries, partnering with organisations including the Junior Premier League, Manchester City, and major academies and venue operators across Europe and the Middle East.
"I built PLAYBACK so that every player is seen, celebrated, and remembered. To have that mission recognised by a jury that includes AWS and PSG Lab tells us the industry is ready for the change we're building." said Karim Fawaz, Founder and CEO of PLAYBACK.
The win at SPORT[GEN] Summit adds to a growing list of recognitions for the company, and we're just getting started.
